PhotoOne Print Becomes Scrapbook Flair
Leading Scrapbook Software now available via Free Download
ATLANTA, June 15, 2006 – Aurora Digital Imaging today announced that ScrapbookFlair is the new name of its digital scrapbooking software, which was introduced 18 months ago as PhotoOne Print and sold for $29.95. The software will now be available to consumers free of charge.
The easy-to-use PC software allows people to take photographs from their digital cameras and create scrapbook pages in a matter of minutes. As ScrapbookFlair, the software also offers a variety of enhanced and unique scrapbooking features, including custom colored backgrounds, balloon text, and photo manipulation.
"ScrapbookFlair software is the first high functioning Digital Scrapbook Software program that is totally free for users, said Mark Vander Berg, Chief Marketing Officer of Aurora Digital Imaging. Unlike other scrapbook software that gives free trial offers or free software that doesn't produce output, ScrapbookFlair is fully functioning. It also has links to the ScrapbookFlair Community site that offers hundreds of free backgrounds, embellishments, and templates. The software can be downloaded by visiting www.ScrapbookFlairSoftware.com
There are more than 25 million scrapbookers in the U.S., with nearly 25% of American households having one or more members who participate in the hobby. Scrapbooking is the third most popular craft in the U.S. (behind embroidery and crochet). Scrapbookers spend on average $50 a month on this hobby, with most comleted scrapbooks (20 pages plus album) representing an investment of $400 o $600. Scrapbookers tend to be female, ages 30 to 50; 82% have college educations and nearly half are employed full-time.
